[Not a bug] Hunting Quest kill counts despite being dead

I tried mobbing some Orc Ladies to level my Acolyte. She accidently died but she still got a count as if she was alive. Didn't test if it works out of monster range but it occured when staying near the enemies...

Is this a bug, or a feature? It's a pretty nasty exploit as it can lead to power leveling of getting clears while staying dead if one wants to farm Shards of Potential.

For the kill to be registered, you just have to see the mob dying (dead or alive). This is how this type of quest work
Considering the fact you can't dual account hunting quest, the impact is very limited. Plus, the dead char isn't receiving the monster exp so he loose half of the experience
